10 Interesting Stats from Premier League Matchday 24

1 – Newcastle’s win at Villa Park was their first away win in the Premier League this season.  All 19 other teams in the league have already recorded at least 1 win on their travels.

6 – Adam Le Fondre’s brace from the bench for Reading on Wednesday means the former Rochdale striker has scored 6 times as a substitute in the Premier League this season.  He has scored 4 goals in his 8 Premier League starts for the Royals.

7 – West Ham have scored just 7 goals on their travels this season, the lowest in the Premier League.  The Hammers’ recent troubles continued with a 3-1 London derby defeat at Fulham on Wednesday.

22 – Southampton have dropped 22 points from winning positions this season – the most in the Premier League.  After losing 2-1 at Old Trafford on Wednesday, the Saints have 23 points from their 24 games, keeping them 3 points above the relegation zone.

27 – Manchester United have now picked up 27 points from losing positions after coming from behind against Southampton to win 2-1.  Only Newcastle (34) in 2001/02 have picked up more points from a losing position in a single season.

300 – On Wednesday, Manchester United became the first team in Premier League history to have won 300 games.
