The Premier League will be the most-represented league at Euro 2016 this summer by a considerable margin.
In all, there are 102 players who finished the 2015-16 season in the Premier League; 45 more than the German Bundesliga which ranks in second.
The English Championship is well-represented too, with 30 players playing in the second tier heading to France this summer. That is more than both the French Ligue 1 and Portuguese Primeira Liga divisions.
Of the 102 Premier League players going, Liverpool are the most-represented with 12 in all. This figure can only be matched by Italian Serie A champions Juventus, whilst Tottenham Hotspur are providing the third-most players with 11.
34 players from the Spanish La Liga, the top ranked nation in the UEFA coefficient, have been called up to the Euro 2016 squads.
Ajax are represented by only one player which makes up half of the Dutch Eredivisie representation, whilst champions PSV Eindhoven have no players going. The Netherlands of course, didn’t qualify.
England are the only country to have all their players coming from the same league, whilst 22 of the 23-man Russian squad play in their domestic top flight.
