Thibaut Courtois became the 52nd player to make 100 Premier League appearances for Chelsea in today’s 4-2 win at home to Watford.
The Belgian goalkeeper has been a mainstay in the Chelsea team after completing his three-year loan spell at Atlético Madrid to displace Petr Čech as the Blues’ number one at the start of the 2014-15 season aside from missing a few games through injury and suspension in 2015-16.
Courtois has kept 37 clean sheets in his first 100 Premier League matches, winning the title in two of his first three seasons in West London.
The 25-year-old is now only three appearances behind Gavin Peacock and John Spence to become Chelsea’s joint-50th all-time appearance maker since the English top flight was rebranded in 1992.
Fellow goalkeepers Petr Čech (333), Carlo Cudicini (142), Ed de Goey (123) and Dmitri Kharine (118) are all above Courtois on the list.
