On Saturday Manchester City took their goal tally up to 56 in only 18 Premier League games this season. That’s more than 14 teams scored through the entire 2016-17 campaign, including rivals Manchester United.
Raheem Sterling is currently the Citizens’ top scorer with 11 goals in his 16 appearances (13 starts). The forward has been on the pitch for 42 of his team’s goals this season.
The 23-year-old has been on the pitch for 1,209 minutes meaning every 29 minutes he has been on the pitch this season he has seen a goal.
However, left-back Benjamin Mendy averages the fewest minutes per goal on the pitch (excluding Phil Foden and Oleksandr Zinchenko’s cameo appearances). The summer signing from AS Monaco has only made four Premier League appearances this season though after his debut season was cut short due to injury. During his time on the pitch however, City were scoring a goal every 23 minutes on average.
Kevin De Bruyne and Fernandinho have been been on the pitch for 52 of the 56 Premier League goals Manchester City have scored this season – more than any of their other outfield players.
Details of all of Manchester City’s outfield players can be seen below:

Benjamin Mendy also tops the chart for most minutes played per goals conceded. Charlie Daniels’ cracking strike versus the Citizens at the Vitality Stadium back in August is the only time the French international has seen a goal go in against his team this season.
Interestingly, Eliaquim Mangala averages the longest time between goals among City’s centre-backs, with Vincent Kompany at the bottom.
Manchester City fans may not be too pleased to see Fabian Delph propping up the table after replacing the injured Mendy. Brazilian striker Gabriel Jesus only fares a little better.
Nicolás Otamendi and Kevin De Bruyne are the only two outfield players to have been on the pitch for all dozen goals City have conceded this season.
