One of the regular activities for football fans is to update their Fantasy Premier League team on a weekly basis, with it being something that some players take more seriously than others. There’s a lot of different ways to take part in Fantasy Football but nothing’s bigger than Fantasy Premier League, which is made to revolve exclusively around the world’s best football league.

Deciding who to add into your team in time for the next full fixture list in the Premier League can be difficult to work out, so Footy Accumulators have made things easier with fantasy football tips, recommendations and predictions for which players are likely to cause a major impact in their next game. In the run-up to another action-packed gameweek, we see who looks worth adding to your fantasy team with our own fantasy football tips:

Defence – Shkodran Mustafi (£5.4)

There’s been an excruciating level of criticism heading Shkodran Mustafi’s way since he joined Arsenal from Valencia back in 2016, but he looks set to step up to the plate when his side need him most. Many have pointed out the sheer lack of leaders in Arsène Wenger’s squad in recent times, but the German put himself forward to make an impact at home to Stoke City on Sunday, where he was ranked as the second-best player on the pitch after Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang who as able to seal a crucial brace against The Potters.

It’s unlikely that all too much credit will go in Mustafi’s direction but keeping clean sheets against sides who need points as much as Stoke do says a lot about his chances of leadership in future years.

Midfield – Dele Alli (£8.9)

It will come as no surprise at all to see Dele Alli included in contention for a lot of people’s Fantasy Football Tips this weekend as he stole the show in Spurs’ crucial game with Chelsea on Sunday, scoring a fantastic brace to pick up the first win at Stamford Bridge for Tottenham Hotspur since Gary Lineker was still playing.

Some controversial behaviour conducted by Alli has ruined his chances at being quite as respected as he should be but putting two past Chelsea in Tottenham’s incredible 3-1 should go a long way, and he’s expected to be as important when Spurs face struggling Stoke City away from home this Saturday. Harry Kane could still be out as he races to return from an injury suffered against Bournemouth at the start of March, so it’s likely that Dele Alli will be their fiercest attacking figure.

Forward – Chris Wood (£6.2)

The attacking efforts of Mohamed Salah for Liverpool and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang for Arsenal have been front page news recently but Burnley’s incredible battle up the table has been helped by some solid finishing from striker Chris Wood, which there hasn’t been all too much exposure of.

Netting four goals and an assist over the last three games, the former Leeds United number 9 has shown why he was so important to Sean Dyche through signing last summer, and those goals against Everton, West Ham and West Bromwich Albion were crucial in taking nine points out of a possible nine. They take on Watford away from home and based on his mere £6.2 pricetag, he’s worth bringing in.
