Manchester City and Arsenal are set to meet at an empty Wembley Stadium in the first 2019-20 FA Cup semi-final.
Pep Guardiola’s side have done the league double over the Gunners this season, including a 3-0 win at the Etihad one month ago.
The two teams for this evening’s game have been confirmed as:
Ederson, Kyle Walker, Eric Garcia, Aymeric Laporte, Benjamin Mendy; Ilkay Gundogan, David Silva, Kevin De Bruyne; Riyad Mahrez, Gabril Jesus, Raheem Sterling
Substitutes: Scott Carson, John Stones, Olekzandr Zinchenko, Rodri, Fernandinho, Joao Cancelo, Nicolas Otamendi, Phil Foden, Bernardo Silva
Youngster Eric Garcia partners Aymeric Laporte in the centre of Manchester City’s defence once again, with John Stones and Nicolas Otamendi only named among the substitutes.
Kevin De Bruyne has had some excellent games against Arsenal in recent seasons. The Belgian superstar starts in a central midfield three alongside Ilkay Gundogan and captain David Silva.
Gabriel Jesus continues to lead the line, flanked by Raheem Sterling and Riyad Mahrez. There is no Sergio Aguero among the substitutes, but Bernardo Silva and Phil Foden are.
Emi Martinez; Hector Bellerin, Shkodran Mustafi, David Luiz, Kieran Tierney; Dani Ceballos, Granit Xhaka, Ainsley Maitland-Niles; Nicolas Pepe, Alexandre Lacazette, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang
Substitutes:Matt Macey, Rob Holding, Sokratis, Sead Kolasinac, Lucas Torreira, Matt Smith, Joe Willock, Reiss Nelson, Bukayo Saka
Each team have made five changes since their Premier League matches. Emi Martinez continues between the sticks for Arsenal this evening.
Mikel Arteta appears to be playing a 4-3-3 with Alexandre Lacazette flanked by Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Nicolas Pepe in a front three that Arsenal fans were dying to see heading into the season.
Granit Xhaka is the holding man in midfield, with Dani Ceballos the playmaker and Ainsley Maitland-Niles the energy.
The Gunners have a very young bench, which includes wonderkid Matt Smith and the somewhat proven Bukayo Saka.
