James Milner reacts to Liverpool win, praises Rhys Williams

James Milner has taken to Instagram to give his reaction to Liverpool’s win against FC Midtjylland at home in the Champions League on Tuesday evening.

Jurgen Klopp’s side won 2-0 against Midtjylland at Anfield in Group D to make two successive victories in the Champions League this season.

After a goalless first half, Diogo Jota, signed from Wolverhampton Wanderers in the summer transfer window, put the Premier League club in the lead in the 55th minute.

Mohamed Salah secured all three points for Liverpool in the third minute of injury time when he scored from the penalty spot.

Milner, who can operate as a midfielder, winger or full-back, started the match and played for the entire 90 minutes.

The 34-year-old former Leeds United and Newcastle United star is pleased with the final result, but he believes that Liverpool missed the fans at Anfield.

Milner has also praised 19-year-old central defender Rhys Williams for his performance for the Reds.
