Arsenal striker Folarin Balogun is closing in on a loan move to French club Reims, according to Fabrizio Romano on Twitter.
The 21-year-old spent the second half of last season on loan at Middlesbrough, where he managed to score three goals in eighteen Championship outings (transfermarkt).
Romano has revealed that the forward had received offers from other Premier League clubs but is prepared to make the switch to the Ligue 1 outfit in order to get regular first-team football.
Reims are in the market for a new forward to help try to replace Hugo Ekitike, who has made the move to Paris Saint-Germain.
Reims are closing on loan deal to sign Folarin Balogun from Arsenal, set to be agreed until June 2023. Balogun has received proposals also from PL clubs but he’s prepared to accept Reims. 🚨🏴 #AFC

Bologun’s chances of regular action at the Gunners this season is likely to be limited following the arrival of Gabriel Jesus and the competition that Eddie Nketiah will also provide.
His return of three Championship goals last season was a disappointment and needs to head out on loan to score a bagful of goals to prove that he has what it takes to push for a place in Mikel Arteta’s side upon his return.
