Liverpool could be set to make a move for highly-rated Brazilian forward Marcos Leonardo, according to Bolavip.

The report suggests that Jurgen Klopp’s side are likely to table an offer for the 19-year-old Santos player ‘very soon’.

The Reds have already been active in the summer transfer window having brought in some promising talent including Darwin Nunez, Fabio Carvalho, and Calvin Ramsay.

Leonardo is currently in the midst of an impressive campaign having scored 15 goals in 39 appearances this season in all competitions for the Brazilian outfit (transfermarkt) which has left Liverpool prioritising a move for the teenager over Palmeiras’ Endrick, who is also attracting interest from European clubs.

There is some top attacking talent coming out of South America with Manchester City having moved for Julian Alvarez last summer.

Leonardo is certainly ‘one for the future’ who the Reds may want to secure the services of and send him out on loan to continue his footballing education, before looking to make the step up to the demands of Premier League football.
