Liverpool are one of the clubs showing keen interest in signing Inter Milan winger Dnzelk Dumfries, as per Calciomercato.
The 27-year-old has been brilliant for the Serie A giants this season and heavy-weight Premier League clubs are vying for his signature.
Apart from Liverpool, Premier League rivals Chelsea and Manchester United are also keen to get him on board.
Dumfries has a contract at Inter until 2025 and he is valued at around £35m. He has managed two goals and three assists in Serie A for Inter and has also impressed in the Champions League.
He makes around 1.9 key passes per game in the Serie A, and 0.9 tackles at the same time, which shows he has been enjoying a red-hot form at the moment.
Do Liverpool & Utd need him?
While Calciomercato claims that Liverpool see Dumfries as an option for the right-back role, that is highly unlikely to happen. Dumfries is primarily a winger and he has played most of his games as a right sided midfielder.
He can play as a right-back but that is not his natural role. The Reds will look to sign a new right-back at some point to add a back-up for Trent Alexander-Arnold, but Dumfries definitely is not that player.
The Dutch international is a solid player, no doubt, but Liverpool have enough depth and quality in their attacking ranks. They need options elsewhere.
Manchester United have options in their right-back areas, but they could look to sign a versatile player like Dumfries. With the future of Anthony Martial in doubt, Erik Ten Hag could look to bring in one or two quality forwards upfront.
Inter will be happy to sell him to the highest bidder, and it will be interesting to see if Liverpool or United make any formal move for him in the January window or next summer.
