Saudi club eye move for Tottenham forward Richarlison

Tottenham Hotspur forward Richarlison is being eyed by clubs in Saudi Arabia in the January transfer window, as per The Telegraph

Saudi club Al-Itihad made a check on Richalison during the summer transfer window. Spurs were not interested in allowing the Brazilian to leave during the summer window, but it appears that he will be targeted again in the January window.

The Saudi Pro League are planning for their next big recruits and they are eyeing an assault on the Premier League.

Journalist Matt Law claims that Richarlison and Jadon Sancho have emerged as “top targets” for the Saudi clubs in January.

The likes of Mohamed Salah and Son Heung-Min are almost impossible to lure during the middle of the season. As a result, they have targeted the likes of Richarlison and Sancho, both players have made a miserable start to the season.

Should Spurs sell Richarlison?

The 26-year-old has made a poor start to the season and he is currently out after undergoing surgery. He has scored twice this season, but Ange Postecoglou has preferred Brennan Johnson in his place.

Spurs paid a huge sum to sign Richarlison from Everton and they should aim to cash in on him if the price is right. The Brazilian has struggled to make an impact under Postecoglou, although the former Celtic boss can still get the best out of him.

Richarlison seems like someone who wants to play in a top league and for his country. He needs to get back to his old best after returning from injury which will help him get into the Brazil team once again. But it could get really interesting if Spurs receive a good offer for him in January.
