Sean Dyche drools over Everton midfielder James Garner

Sean Dyche has showered heaps of praise on several Everton players including James Garner after the Toffees earned a 3-2 win against Crystal Palace.

The Toffees have now managed three wins and a draw in all competitions in their last four games and the side is playing with a lot of confidence.

Dyche has hailed Garner as “terrific” saying the 22-year-old has impressed him. The former Manchester United midfielder was signed by Frank Lampard, and he has had a slow start to his career at Goodison Park.

However, Dyche has managed to get the best out of him. The Toffees boss says that Garner has got a nice little edge about him and that he is improving all the time.

“Jimmy Garner was terrific, he’s learning and improving,” said Dyche, as quoted by the Liverpool Echo.

“He’s just a good kid. He’s got that nice little edge about him that he’s a bit of a nark now and again, I like it.”

Several top performers

Garner has made 11 starts in the Premier League this season and a further one appearance has come from the bench. He has managed one goal and an assist so far in the league, and Dyche is spot on in that he has been one of the top performers for the Toffees so far.

Dyche will be pleased with the form of defender Vitali Mykolenko who was simply outstanding in the previous game. Along with solid defending, he was heavily involved in two goals for the Toffees and looked dangerous every time he joined the attack.

The likes of Nathan Patterson and Jarrard Branthwaite have been equally impressive for the Toffees. Everton have jumped to 14th in the league and interestingly, they have been playing better away from home this season.
