Dion Dublin left impressed by Tottenham forward Richarlison

Tottenham Hotspur managed a 2-2 draw against Everton in the Premier League on Saturday.

Richarlison scored twice against his former club as Spurs earned a draw. The Brazil forward scored the opening goal of the match and then added another towards the end of the first half with an exquisite finish.

Dion Dublin was left heavily impressed with the 26-year-old forward who is gradually becoming a key player under Ange Postecoglou.

Since undergoing an operation last year, Richarlison has rediscovered himself. He previously scored two goals in 39 games for Spurs, but now he is on a great run, having managed nine goals in his last eight Premier League games.

Dublin feels that Richarlison can finish in a “natural way”.

“Richarlison is finishing in a really natural way. That is what he can do. Put him in a goal-scoring position and his finish is natural,” said Dublin, as quoted by BBC Sport.

Enjoying great form

Richarlison is enjoying a rich vein of form at the moment, and Postecoglou will hope that he keeps on delivering for the rest of the season.

The Brazilian, who is on £130k-per-week deal at Spurs, found himself in an unmarked position for the first goal. His second goal was absolutely fantastic leaving Jordan Pickford no chance of saving with his right-foot curler.

Piostecoglou will be very disappointed with the result, though. They did well to control the game, but all they needed was a third goal.

At 2-1, there is always a chance for the opposition team to grab an equaliser, and that’s what happened. Everton kept on piling pressure and in the 94th minute, they got the goal through Jarrard Branthwaite.

While Richarlison impressed, many pundits were not happy with the performance of goalkeeper Guglielmo Vicario. For instance, Martin Keown felt that the 27-year-old should have done a lot better.
