Crystal Palace keen to sign Bright Osayi-Samuel

Crystal Palace are expected to move in the fresh direction in terms of transfer strategies next summer under Oliver Glasner.

Unless there’s a dramatic collapse, the Eagles are unlikely to battle for Premier League survival. A few more wins should put them in a comfortable position in the league, and from there on, they must start planning for the future ahead.

Glasner could lose some of his key players in the summer. Marc Guehi has been targeted by several heavyweight clubs, while Michael Olise and Eberechi Eze could also come under consideration for other big clubs.

The defence probably needs bolstering in the summer with Palace conceding 47 goals in the Premier League this season already. According to a report from report from Turkish outlet NTV Spor, Palace are showing keen interest in signing Nigerian defender Bright Osayi-Samuel.

The Eagles could face competition from the likes of Wolves and Leeds United for his signature.

Bright Osayi-Samuel would be smart signing for Crystal Palace

The 26-year-old is enjoying his best season for Fenerbahce and did extremely well for Nigeria helping them reach the final of the African Cup of Nations last month.

He spent time with QPR and Blackpool before moving to Turkey. He has spent the last three years in Turkey and his performances have caught the attention of several English clubs, including Palace.

Osayi-Samuel started as a winger but he is now a converted right-back. He has only 12 months left on his current deal and there’s no indication that he would sign a new deal at Fenerbahce. Therefore, he could be available at a bargain price if he doesn’t sign a new contract.

Palace have Joel Ward, Nathaniel Clyne, and Daniel Munoz as three right-backs. However, Clyne, 32, has a contract at Selhurst Park until 2024, and Osayi-Samuel could be seen as his potential replacement.

A move to the Premier League could be on the cards in the summer for Osayi-Samuel, but whether Palace would be really keen to sign him remains to be seen.
