Jurgen Klopp shares big injury update on Liverpool goalkeeper Alisson Becker

Liverpool are back in action this weekend in the Premier League after a brief hiatus due to international break.

The Reds will face Brighton at Anfield on Sunday. Before the international break, Liverpool lost their FA Cup game against Manchester United, but now they have to focus on winning every game from here on in the league as the title race approaches its climax.

Liverpool have been plagued with injury problems throughout the season and the misery doesn’t seem to end as Andy Robertson has now picked up an injury while playing for Scotland.

Jurgen Klopp will be hoping to get back some of his key players from injuries as we enter the business end of the season. The Times have claimed that Curtis Jones could be involved in Sunday’s game, while it won’t be long before other players join him in the first team.

Footage is doing the rounds, shared by Anfield Edition, where a Liverpool fan Liam Whittle is seen having a conversation with Jurgen Klopp in the AXA training centre. He asked him about Alisson’s injury update, and Klopp has confirmed that the Brazilian should return within the next two to three weeks.

Liverpool injury list

Despite missing the 31-year-old goalkeeper for so long, Liverpool didn’t really miss him. Caoimhin Kelleher, the second-choice goalkeeper, has been tremendous for the Reds, and he has done a massive job for the club.

Kelleher once again will be in goal when the Reds face Brighton this week.

Ryan Gravenberch came back to the side before the break, but the Reds are still missing several key players. Trent Alexander-Arnold is still some weeks away from returning to the side, while the same can be said about Diogo Jota.

Liverpool fans will be relieved to find that Jones is almost ready to play again while Alisson shouldn’t be far away from returning to full training.
